Out on the Horizon
Let's start here with the short timeframe, first: I didn't fully understand how GoFundMe worked, so I was surprised when I got a deposit of $143.83 from them a week or so back. I thought one had to reach their full funding goal before there was a payout, but I've since been told, no, that's Kickstarter, which would not have been appropriate for the Holiday Gift idea over there on the left of this page. That wasn't quite enough to order the Fesley, and I was fighting the state unemployment office and my former employer regarding vacation pay, and whether I would qualify for that measly $166/week in UI bennies. So, I took that cash, bought the Infinite Grid Spark GO amp (demo'd here) , and hoped to get the rest of the funding in time to make someone's 4Q 2024 a little brighter, as planned. Funding stalled out at $150, and hasn't moved, since. So, I can still give the new amp, but barring a last-minute donation of ~$200, I plan to instead supply that used...
